A once in a lifetime tour of Great Britain

Golden Eagle luxury trains have launched a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the momentous Tornado's 10th anniversary tour of Great Britain.

The 14-day journey will take 38 guests on a luxurious 2,200-mile tour of England, Wales, and Scotland.

aboard the 10 carriages of the Belmond Royal Scotsman.

The tour will start in the historic town of Edinburgh before travelling up into the Scottish Highlands crossing the famous Forth Bridge . After traversing the cliff tops of Eastern Scotland the tour will then descend into the granite city of Aberdeen, before heading north-westwards to the ancient fishing port and market town of Nairn. From there a short coach trip to 14th century Cawdor Castle, inspiration for Shakespeare's Macbeth where a private dinner, scheduled to be hosted by Lady Cawdor will be hosted.

Heading back to Edinburgh a private tour of Edinburgh Castle will follow, guests will then board a vintage train for a whisky tasting at J&G Grant’s Glenfarclas Distillery before heading south into Wales for a ride along the rough and rugged Cambrian coast travelling on the historic Ffestiniog Railway, the world's oldest narrow gauge railway. Hauled by the FR 0-4-4-0 Double Fairlie David Lloyd George guests will be able to enjoy the passing forests, lakes, waterfalls and tranquil pastures of Snowdonia National Park on the 13½-mile journey before finally reaching the harbour town of Porthmadog on the Cambrian Coast.

Crossing into England tours of Bath, Devon, and Cornwall will follow before heading back up to the city for a private tour of Edinburgh Castle, guests will board a vintage train for a whisky tasting at J&G Grant’s Glenfarclas Distillery before ending the tour with a farewell dinner and overnight stay at Balmoral Hotel.
