Bulgari ‘Opera Prima': world's most expensive perfume

Created in 2014 to mark Bulgari's 130th anniversary, "Opera Prima" is a skillful blend of both jewelry and perfume and has earned the title of "the most expensive scent in the history of perfume" following its recent purchase by a private client for the the princely sum of CAD $306,143 / €200,000.

Taking inspiration from Roman amphoras, the majestic bottle is created in collaboration with renowned Murano glass blower Venini, and decorated with gold leaf , gems and diamonds. Celebrating the label's origins, the "Opera Prima" fragrance hit the headlines back in 2014 when it was first unveiled not just because of its beautiful fragrance a celebration of Mediterranean aromas, with notes of lemon, orange blossom, musk and florals' but because the bottles was encrusted with 250 karats of citrine, 4.45 karats of amethyst and 25 karats of diamond.
